FAQ

How are the Aussie X programs structured?

The Aussie X Programs work within your timetable. Typical programs include:

  1. Introduction and fundamental skills (necessary as there are many new skills to learn).
  2. Rules and game play.
  3. Play a GAME and/or modified version of your chosen sport!

The longer the program the better the overall experience and stronger the grasp of new skills and understanding of the unique rules that govern play.

How many can participate in the programs?

Footy programs in schools and camps allow you to combine classes and have one instructor per 50 participants.

Cricket and Netball programs work best when we have one instructor work with single classes (generally 25-30 participants). However,  we can accommodate for up to 40. Both programs work best when we run with one instructor per class (25-30 participants).

For footy, cricket and netball corporate events we can cater from one to hundreds of participants. For team building events, we recommend a ratio of 6-10 participants per Aussie X instructor is highly recommended to ensure maximum impact and benefit for your team.

Do we need to provide any equipment??

We arrive at your organization with all the equipment required to run the programs. Footies, cricket balls, stumps, netballs, goals, teaching aids and dvds, prizes and authentic sports uniforms!

Do you provide participation or achievement awards?

Furry little animals, key rings, interactive cd-roms, hats, backpacks and posters will motivate participants throughout each clinic. Not to mention a few other delicious surprises as well – yum!

How much space do we need?

Have you got a field, court or indoor gym area? Our programs and instructors are flexible and can adapt our programs to suit almost any space. Give us a heads up on the space we will be working with upon booking.

What about weather?

  • Footy – primarily outdoors.
  • Cricket and Netball – primarily indoors.

Having said this, all of our programs can be run indoors or outdoors. If there is a turn in the weather our instructors simply adapt the program to suit a new space.

If it rains we are governed by your locations weather policies. We love to stay out in the summer rain so if you are happy to get a little wet we are happy to get wet as well!

Do teachers/supervisors join in on the program?

Join in on the fun! We ask that teachers/camp leaders/supervisors help with student/camper management but when the action begins we want you all to get involved as well.

One of the great strengths of this program is that EVERYONE starts at a level playing field – teachers and leaders included!  Teachers/leaders and students/campers all learn together and help each other grasp the new concepts of the sport, and work with these concepts in the physical setting.

We often see the kids learn and develop at a quicker rate than their supervisors.  Before too long, we see the fast-learning student help their supervisors with any number of the new concepts, creating an awesome reverse effect as the students/camper now becomes the teacher!
