More about Aussie X Netball Programs

Participants in the Aussie X Netball Program will thrive off this exciting variation of a catching, passing and shooting ball sport. Netball has many unique rules which ensures a totally new and exciting experience for all ages and abilities.

Netball is a team-oriented sport. Participants must be willing to work as team to be successful and the rewards centered around teamwork and mateship are plentiful within the Aussie X Program.

What differences might you notice in Netball?
Shooting GOALS in Netball requires a high level of accuracy as the ring is smaller and there is no backboard.

Once players receive the ball in Netball they can only take one step before throwing again. Participants in the Aussie X Netball Program are taught to STOP once they catch the ball.

They are then taught how to PIVOT off their landing foot as they execute another pass to a teammate.

Players are allocated positions on the court which restricts their movement in a game and gives them an allocated ‘role’ to play (G.S. – Goal Shooter, G.D. – Goal Defence). Due to the allocated roles, working as a team is of paramount importance giving ALL a chance to participate fairly when playing this lightning fast sport.

Each Aussie X program is designed to cater for the needs of you and your participants.

The program is centered around getting all participants actively involved as much as possible and loving the fun had when learning something new.

Whether a school with grade 9 boys or a summer camp with 5 – 21 year-olds, the Aussie X Netball Programs can be enjoyed by any age, gender and all levels of abilities!
