Aussie X Programs work within your timetable. At day camps and residential camps we have a lot of freedom and can create specific timetables to suit each camp’s needs.
- CONNECTING COMMUNITIES!
- LEVEL PLAYING FIELD FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!
- AUSSIE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE!
We encourage Leaders and Kids to get involved and learn together…
- Introduction and fundamental skills (necessary as there are many new skills to learn).
- Rules and game play.
- Play an ACTUAL GAME of your chosen sport!
The longer the program the better the overall experience and understanding of the unique skills required to play.
‘After our three day Aussie X experience, it was very rewarding to see the kids play an actual game which allowed them to execute and show off their newly learnt skills…Goodonya Mate!’ Melanie Jarvis, Summer 2010
It is best to have a group of 30-40 per instructor. If you would like to create bigger group sizes (more than 50), that’s fine, we will just need to align a second instructor to these clinics. Or if you would like more specialized instruction for your kids when learning the new and unique skills of this sport we can have smaller instructor-participant ratio numbers.
We arrive at your organization with all the equipment required to run the clinics. Footies, cricket balls, stumps, netballs, goals, teaching aids and dvds, prizes and authentic sports uniforms!
Furry little animals, key rings, interactive cd-roms, hats, backpacks and posters will motivate participants throughout each clinic. Not to mention a few other delicious surprises as well – Australian chocolate! Yum!
How much space do we need?
Have you got a field, court or indoor gym area? Our programs and instructors are flexible and can adapt our programs to suit almost any space. Give us a heads up on the space we will be working with upon booking.
What about weather?
Our programs can be indoors or outdoors. If there is a turn in the weather – our instructors simply adapt the program to suit a new space. For summer programs we like to work outdoors and in winter we are happy keeping warm indoors. Upon booking we will discuss both indoor & outdoor options.
If it rains we are governed by your camp’s weather policies. We love to stay out in the summer rain, so if you are happy for your campers to get a little wet we are happy to get wet as well!
Camp leaders – what do you do?
Join in on the fun! We ask that camp leaders simply help with student/camper management but when the action begins we want you all to get involved as well.
One of the great strengths of this program is that EVERYONE starts at a level playing field – leaders included! Leaders and campers all learn together and help each other grasp the new concepts of the sport and work with these concepts in the physical setting.
We often see the kids learn and develop at a quicker rate than the Leaders. Before too long we see the fast-learning student help their leaders with any number of the new concepts, creating an awesome reverse effect as the camper now becomes the leader!
Your organization has the opportunity to take advantage of a whole range of added extras. Coming from an Education background, the program’s founding Director, Emile Studham, can create individual programs for your organization. Ranging from Australian Sporting Written Tests to assess campers, to cooking the ultimate bush tucker meal by the camp fire, simply make an inquiry with your requests! Fair Dinkum mate!
