Public Schools - Elementary
We just had the pleasure of having the Aussie X experience come to our school for a full week workshop. Australian Rules Footy has now taken our school by storm. The grades 3, 4 & 5 students participated in the workshop. We now have a Footy league at our school that has replaced our flag football league. The Aussie X staff provide very age appropriate games for our students. They were attentive to the varying levels in ability and accommodated for every student. The were fun, approachable, charismatic and had a great knowledge of the game. They displayed a tremendous amount of patience while at the same time keeping all of the students engaged with the program. I strongly recommend this program for any physical education program.

“Our grade 3, 4, and 5 students participated in a 4 day program last week. It was truly an enjoyable experience for all. "Footie" was taught in a safe, but fun manner. The instructors were well prepared, flexible when it came to accommodating our school schedule, large groups, as well as a few rainy days. Despite missing out on the outdoor component (due to cold/rain), the students thoroughly enjoyed learning the sport. The instructors were friendly with the kids, patient and helpful when working with the students. I managed to get the opportunity to observe the first full day of the program and I too enjoyed learning and participating. The feeling among the students was sheer excitement, enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn. The feedback I received from the classroom teachers was extremely positive and after the four days they all came to ask me if we can book them again for next year. I will be making sure that this happens!!
Do you enjoy high energy qualified instruction? Are your phys. ed students looking for something new to try? The answer is Aussie Rules Football. Jacob Hespeler was fortunate enough to host Emile Studham the director of Aussie X for one week. Emile took all of our classes through an excellent introductory progression of Aussie Rules Football. By the end of the week our classes were actually playing Aussie Rules Football. Even those students who are difficult to engage in physical activity really enjoyed this unit. Emile Studham show excellent leadership and patience with our students. As a long time physical educator it is easy for me to recognize talented and passionate people. Not only is Emile very talented and passionate, he is very professional and continually models behavior we want from our students.
The Aussie X is a jam-packed, high energy, engaging program for all high school ages. The inclusive nature of the Footy clinic enables students of every skill level the opportunity to learn and develop skills for a non-mainstream activity in normal every day phys ed classes. The Aussie X is an excellent way to introduce new activities into course curriculum for students who may otherwise become disinterested in physical education programs. It provides students with a fun and exciting sporting experience not offered in their community. We here at Medway High School are ecstatic about having had this opportunity to broaden the scope of activities we are now able to provide for students in our programs. Thanks again Emile and staff, looking forward to working together again and again!
Emile and The Aussie X were a fantastic way to start off this school year! We ran it for four days with close to 150 kids in grades 9-12. The beauty of it was they didn't sit still, everyone experienced success and it was something they had never seen or played before so it captured and held their attention for the full four days. The last day was great as the students (and teachers of course) got to play a full game that had everyone running, catching, handballing, kicking and there were even a few speckies! I would highly recommend this program for any school program that wants to allow their students to experience something unique, different and fun. Thanks Emile and Aussie X for a great four days of footy and a bit of the Aussie culture.

"The clinic was extremely interactive the instructors were enthusiastic and energetic and they had enough equipment that all students had a great physical experience. This was an awesome experience for our school! 200 students had an Aussie ‘X’ perience full of fun and action.
The girls loved it! What a great introduction to a contact sport through a safe, comfortable and fun environment. The instructors are fantastic- professional, prepared, experts in their field and full of fun! I can't think of a better program to introduce your students to this amazing sport.

“Emile spent an afternoon at Onondaga this summer teaching us footy and the kids absolutely LOVED it! He came fully packed with a video, posters, drills, games and an all-around amazing show for the kids. He was able to keep 50 campers of various ages and abilities motivated and having fun while they eagerly learned this new sport. It was blatantly obvious from the smiles and the constant talk of footy after Emile had left that the Aussie X program was a success at camp! Emile's love for the sport and obvious passion for children made for an incredible day! Thank you!”
“Onondaga Camp was fortunate enough to have Aussie X conduct an afternoon course with 50 boys and girls aged 12-15. It was a huge success and very much enjoyed by everyone who participated. The program was extremely well laid out and Emile proved to be an excellent teacher who showed great patience with our campers. His enthusiasm for the sport was contagious and his energy seemed endless. It added great value to our camp programming and we would certainly not hesitate to have Aussie X back again next summer!”
“The Aussie X has visited both Greenwood College and Kilcoo camp over the past 12 months, and immediately made an impact on the school and our kids. The instructors, with their crazy accents, high energy and passion for the game ran very structured ‘footy’ clinics that our kids absolutely loved.
